Skins customize Towers in Retro Tower Defense, and events can award limited cosmetics. The official Roblox description specifically mentions rare skins for c00lkidd, 1x1x1x1, and other classic characters. Current Forsaken collaboration badges also award skins in Forsaken, which is a separate destination. Check the reward game before assuming every badge grants an RTD tower skin.

Forsaken Skins
Separate RTD cosmetics from the three official badges that send rewards to Forsaken.
Event Skins
Check active, ended, returning, and unknown availability before spending event currency or trading.
The index is intentionally called currently documented. The official public page does not expose a complete cosmetic catalog, and community skin pages are incomplete. Unknown names, prices, and return windows stay unset rather than being filled from search snippets.
Identify the reward game first
The official Home Turf badge says it awards the RTD Jane Doe skin in Forsaken. Clean Sweep awards Hyperlaser Chance in Forsaken, and Home Run awards 4x4x4x4 in Forsaken. Those are cross-game rewards earned by completing Retro Tower Defense conditions.
That wording does not automatically grant a same-named RTD tower skin. After completing a badge, verify the Roblox badge on the account, then open Forsaken and inspect the relevant character’s skin inventory. If the reward is delayed, rejoin both experiences and allow time for badge ownership to synchronize before repeating the grind.
RTD’s own event shop can also contain tower skins, but the public Badge API does not list every one. Label the source as RTD shop, RTD pass, RTD bundle, RTD code, trade, or external-game badge so the destination remains unambiguous.
Skin source types
Bundle or shop
A live purchase panel should state the tower, included skin, currency, and whether the bundle can be gifted. Recheck before buying.
Event currency
Earned during a limited activity and spent in a themed shop. Confirm the end time and what happens to leftover currency.
Pass or milestone
Unlocked at a stated tier, wave total, or challenge. Read whether the track is free, premium, historical, or permanent.
Badge or code
A precise condition or promotional string awards the cosmetic. Verify the destination game and account ownership.
Trading can become another acquisition route when the live trade window accepts the relevant item or tower copy. Do not assume a cosmetic is separately tradable because its tower is tradable. Inspect exactly what the confirmation screen transfers.
Check availability before grinding
Use four labels: available now, ended, returning on a confirmed date, and return unknown. A skin seen in an inventory or old video is not proof of current availability. A still-enabled badge can remain visible after a limited shop closes, while a permanent achievement can outlive its launch event.
For an event skin, verify the current Experience title, event menu, currency source, shop timer, and developer notice. If only a community schedule exists, label the window Community corroborated or Community reported and check the game before spending a long session.
Preview the exact cosmetic
Check the tower and tier the skin supports. A thumbnail may show a later tier, a lobby model, or a character from another game. Inspect whether animations, effects, sound, projectiles, and icons are cosmetic or whether the tower’s underlying stats remain unchanged.
Do not infer performance from a dramatic effect. Unless the live card states a gameplay difference, treat a skin as visual. If a cosmetic changes readability—for example, making a tower harder to distinguish in a crowded lane—preview it in a low-risk round before using it for an objective.
Event currency decisions
List desired rewards before spending. Prioritize a permanent limited cosmetic or tower only after confirming the shop and your remaining play time. Compare the cost with the realistic currency earned per successful run, including loading and queue time. A higher-difficulty run is not more efficient when it fails frequently.
Keep enough currency for the top choice before buying small extras. Do not assume unused event currency converts to Tix unless the live event notice or a developer-owned source says so. Community pages may report a conversion, but that claim must remain dated and non-official.
Trading skins safely
Open the Trading hub before exchanging a limited tower or cosmetic. Confirm whether the skin is attached to the tower copy, transferred separately, or account-bound. A fan value list can estimate demand, but it cannot override the actual contents of the trade window.
Never use an external login, middleman, off-platform payment, or promise of later delivery. A screenshot of a cosmetic is not proof that it is in the current offer. Reopen the item detail after any change and read the final confirmation screen.

Frequently asked questions
Are Forsaken badge rewards RTD skins?
The current official badge descriptions say those three rewards are awarded in Forsaken. Do not list them as RTD inventory unlocks unless the game separately shows one.
Do skins change tower stats?
The public official description presents them as customization. Any gameplay effect needs explicit current in-game evidence; visual effects alone are not enough.
Can every skin be traded?
No public official list establishes that. The live trade window decides whether a specific cosmetic or attached tower copy is transferable.
