Retro Tower Defense Codes

The official Retro Tower Defense Roblox description currently shows three code strings: RETRO, FREETIX, and NEW. Enter them exactly as written. The developer does not state their rewards or expiry dates on that page, so the reliable promise is that these are the codes Plaything Games is displaying—not that every account will receive a particular amount of Tix.

Official status, checked August 25, 2026 UTC: all three strings appear in the live Experience description. Redemption success, rewards, account restrictions, and expiry still need an in-game confirmation.

Current official-description code list

Code trackers sometimes publish more strings and attach exact rewards. Those records can be useful leads, but they conflict about active status and rewards. This page therefore keeps the official-description list separate from community claims. A code should move into a confirmed-reward record only after a dated successful redemption or a developer-owned announcement supplies the missing information.

How to redeem a code

Community documentation shows the code entry inside the game UI, with a Codes option associated with Settings or Inventory depending on the current interface. Because menu positions can move between updates, use this route instead of looking for a button in one fixed corner:

1. Open the official Retro Tower Defense experience and wait for the lobby interface to finish loading.
2. Open the main menu, then look for Codes. Check Settings and Inventory if it is not visible on the first panel.
3. Type or paste one string without leading or trailing spaces. Keep the capitalization shown above.
4. Press the redeem or confirm control once, then wait for the result message before trying again.
5. Check the inventory, Tix balance, boost panel, or gift/reward area if the success message does not name the reward.

Redeem codes one at a time. Doing so makes it possible to match a balance change or inventory item to the exact string. If you paste all codes quickly and close the panel, you may know that something changed without knowing which code caused it.

Why a displayed code may fail

A code can remain in an Experience description briefly after the redemption service changes. It can also be limited by account history, already-used state, a server version, or a typing difference. A failure does not establish one universal “expired” status until the same result is reproduced on a current server or confirmed by Plaything Games.

Start by removing spaces and checking ambiguous characters. Rejoin a fresh public server if your current server has been open since before an update. Check the reward safely

Record the balance before redeeming, the exact response message, and the balance after. For a boost, note its name and remaining duration. For an item or skin, check the relevant inventory category rather than assuming a missing Tix change means nothing was awarded.
