Retro Tower Defense Noli Tower

Use Noli in Retro Tower Defense as an AoE Heroic, compare its community-documented Tier IV card, and build around its cost and single placement.

Noli is a Heroic tower built around wide damage and Void-themed attacks. Community documentation describes its Tier IV version as an AoE unit with strong range, crowd clearing and a Subspace Tripmine effect. It is often placed near the top of community damage rankings, but the useful answer is not simply “Noli is S tier”: you need the correct owned tier, enough round cash, a placement that sees the important lane, and a team that covers the opening before Noli is ready.

Noli’s current acquisition can rotate with banners or progression systems. Open the collection card and Summon interface before spending. If Noli is not listed in the visible pool, do not assume that repeated pulls can produce it; use the current source shown by the game or wait for a documented return.

Community-documented Tier IV card

The maintained community Noli page records the following Tier IV values: $1,250 deployment, $34,250 total cost, 215 damage, 1.9-second attack interval, 20 range, and Ghost, Slate and Flying detections, with a one-placement limit. These numbers are community reported and can become stale after a balance patch. Treat them as a comparison card, then verify the values on your owned Noli.

The same page records upgrade prices of $1,250, $2,500, $6,000, $9,000 and $15,500 across five levels. That curve creates a clear decision: deploy Noli only after the opening lane is stable, and upgrade it in meaningful steps rather than consuming every dollar while other lanes remain uncovered.

Do not compare Tier IV Noli against a base form as if they were the same investment. When a video or tier list praises Noli, check the tier, trait, mode and date. A lower-tier copy can still be useful, but it may not reach the range, attack interval or effect assumed by the recommendation.

How to place and upgrade Noli

Choose a tile where Noli can attack groups before and after a bend. Its documented range makes central coverage attractive, but a large circle does not guarantee useful uptime; rotate the camera and follow the actual route. Reserve a second lane answer if the map splits or if a boss can disable a cluster.

Use an inexpensive opener first. Add Noli once the board can survive the saving period. Upgrade when one of three things is about to happen: ordinary groups no longer die within the covered segment, a durable target is approaching, or an upgrade unlocks a detection/effect required by the selected mode. Avoid maxing Noli solely because cash is available; a second coverage tower or support placement may prevent more leaks.

Noli’s single documented placement makes support coverage valuable. If one Noli carries most of the team’s late damage, position buffs and control around the lane it actually sees. In multiplayer, tell teammates which route your Noli covers so they can protect the blind lane instead of stacking all damage on the same spot.

A balanced Noli build

Opener

Doombringer, Bling Bloxxer or another affordable owned tower buys time for the $1,250 Noli placement and early upgrades.

Noli

Use as central AoE and durable-target pressure. Keep its one-placement limit in mind when planning separate lanes.

Support/control

A buff, slow or stun that affects Noli's real firing window can be worth more than another uncoordinated damage slot.

Flex

Add economy for a long run, detection for the selected map, or a second carry that remains useful when Noli is disabled.

The Best Loadout guide shows how to fill those jobs with alternatives. The Endless Tier List separates late scaling from ordinary map value, while the DPS Tier List compares Noli with other damage choices.

When Noli is the wrong slot

Do not force Noli into a short run where the team loses before it reaches a useful upgrade. Do not rely on it as the only lane answer on a split map. And do not spend all account resources chasing it while a free or owned tower already solves the current progression wall.

If the failure is early, improve the opener. If clustered enemies overwhelm Noli’s attack rhythm, add more consistent wave clear or control. If a boss survives while groups are handled, keep Noli but reconsider placement, support and the second damage slot. Change one variable per run so you can tell what fixed the problem.

Noli FAQ

How do I get Noli right now?

Check the live collection source and current Summon pools. Public pages do not provide a permanent official banner schedule. If the pool does not list Noli, do not assume it is obtainable from that banner.

Is Noli single-target or AoE?

Current community documentation describes Noli as AoE-focused and shows a Subspace Tripmine effect, despite some older ranking summaries calling it a boss specialist. Use the live attack preview to decide how much separate boss damage your team needs.

Is Noli worth upgrading to maximum?

Only when the covered lane remains the main threat and the rest of the board is stable. The documented final upgrade is expensive, so compare it with another placement or support breakpoint.
